Hi there - I’m Katherine! Building a custom home or tackling a big renovation project is exciting, but it can be overwhelming at times - I’ve been there! In 2021, my husband and I built our home in Goochland, and that's how I met Molly - she was our interior designer.  The experience of building my own home enables me to better support you in your journey. In addition to helping you stay organized, meet deadlines, and make decisions, I hope to also be a source of positivity, support, and encouragement throughout the process!

Building our home also allowed me to tap into my creative side and led me to my current position at mollybydesign.  Prior to joining the mbd team in 2022, I worked as a high school math teacher.  Now I'm using my math, customer-service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills from teaching to take on the design world. I've particularly enjoyed learning about space planning and technical drawing, as well as drafting floorplans and creating 3D renderings with Chief Architect Home Designer Software.

As a former MBD customer, I can confidently say that working with the mollybydesign team made building a custom home so much easier and so much more fun! As a current employee, I can also say that our team cares so much about the work that we do and about the people that we work with.
