To start space planning, Molly:

1. Begins with an in-depth analysis of customer lifestyle and functionality of spaces within the home.

2. Draws up a plan that tries to answer all of the needs for: work zones, activities, focal points, and circulation. While planning, often further detail opportunities are discussed such as ceiling, built-in cabinetry, and trim details.

3. Makes suggestions on how the space may be furnished and how to think through the electrical needs, etc.

 

Customers seem to respond well to the hand sketches that give their home plan a personal touch. When working with a builder, the hand concept sketches are then sent to the draftsman to be updated for construction documents.
